Righto, the good:
- that melody at 1:10 and 1:40 is great
- your transitional sweeps are tasty
- the down lift section midway is great, especially the panning and soundscape, actually quite fantastic dude!!!! Why didn't you start the track with this? The best bit of the song is in the middle where it could be at the start!

Wow, was gonna do a good vs bad type review but the second half of the track, all the ambient and build sections are very well made man!!

So imo, the intro and drops were okay, not quite there but your mid section is the best ambient piece I've heard all year!!

Excited to hear what you'll do once you figure out the drops.

Solid piece dude!!

The singing is fantastic and the drop is blissful as heck dude.

Great work guys.

If you want more views or engagement dude, one idea is to release the stems so people can remix it because the singing is awesome! I see a lot of artists doing that nowadays, then if someone makes a remix and their fans hear you singing, they'll naturally want to hear more.

Awesome work

Good luck with the contest dude!

Track is fire!!!

Only suggestion would be watch the reverb on the low end, it feels like there is too much reverb.

therealsub001 responds:

Thanks man!

Although, I didn't really put reverb at the low end. Thanks for the heads up though.

Nice singing and guitar riffs dude! Very solid!

One thing that would help is if you could somehow make the vocals sit further infront in the mix because it's hard to hear the lyrics.

Other than that dude, rock on!!

Love those arps at 1:15

Nice, much wider than the other tracks, your volumes should build a bit more in the early parts, it fades in as if to get louder but then hovers at low intensity.

Melodies and composition again are very unique dude.

100% your focus is to get the mixing right and perhaps, well for this piece anyway, structure because it's not too clear where the lows and highs, the builds and falls are. For more popular music, and I know the vibe here is much more experimental, but if you want to head in that direction, just try to get the structure a bit more, dare I say, conventional. If you can find that happy medium.

Because your compositions are wicked dude, it just needs to glue a bit more and you have some fire on your hands!

Hope these reviews helped :)

Sounds cool dude, your piano off on the left made me realise you could and should pan more elements to the side, especailly given how ambient your pieces are. It will really open it into a landscape.

Send me the stems if you want and I'll show you what I mean.

Other than that, the mix could use a bit more fullness to it. One way to check this is to chuck a Maximus or Soundgoodizer on your master, just temporarily, and see where your track feels more lively. Then remove it and try to go to whatever mixer channels they were and boost frequencies or compress where necessary or add some saturation.

Compositon wise dude, fantastic!

Keep up the good work :)

Stardust-Nation responds:

Thanks for the advice, but unfortunately I'm pretty sure all the tools you mentioned are FL and Logic features, which sadly aren't available on the app I use.

Sorry to hear that dude!

The tune itself is quite hard hitting, definitely feeling some deep vibes.

One thing you could do is add some more delay or reverb tail, at 50 seconds. So basically have that synth increase the wet mix and down the dry mix about 2 or 4 bars before, so it sounds spaced, then add some stereo phasing / shape to it and have that pan off to the sides then have your bass come in from the middle. Perhaps even low pass it or high pass it just befre the next section. Chuck some reverse cymbals or a nice riser and you'll glue it really nicely into the next section.

Getting the transitions between sections is what you should focus on a bit for the next track.

Other than that dude, melody and arrangement is grand! Some great work there.

All the best :)

Spot on dude!

Spline-1337 responds:

Thanks for your feedback! In the near future I will release my first EP album.

Spot on dude! Love that tiny instrument that kicks in around 1:10! Fits so well into the track. Very chilled vibes dude. Lovely!

One feedback would be your hats are a bit too much on the high end or too loud? Can't tell which one exactly but it's a bit much. Other than that, cool work dude.

DreamEater responds:

Thank you very much for your feedback my friend. I really appreciate you taking the time to listen :)

Very complex piece!

Great use of space. Very airy spacey feel to it. Love your percussive bits and the way you've mixed so many different sounds!

Will have a listen later on my speakers to feedback the mixing. Sounds good on headphones :)

Midnights-Ocean responds:

Thanks! Glad you like. I really appreciate it!

Back in the flow of things!
