Solid intro, melodic and at the same time looming. Good intro! Build section was cool too, drop could use a bit more umph behind it, like, your bass is taking a good space but the supporting elements could be boosted. Layering the percussion perhaps. Actually the second drop is solid. Just the first one didn't kick in as much.

Man, that soft piano melody is insane good. So subtle and ambient!

All the best with the competition.

Amazing!! What language is it?

The vocals are superb, the backing track and ambience, notation, drums and everything else go really well together.

Awesome work!

Troisnyx responds:

It's a constructed language called Hymmnos, made for the series of games Ar tonelico. Fan works involving the games' universe have been allowed to use and build upon the Hymmnos language, but not use the script that was specifically designed for it in the games (which, in my mind, looks hideous anyway ;; ).

Glad you enjoyed this one— I'll be sure to pass the message along to everyone involved!

Nice pads on the intro. The sound selection seems a bit off though. Like the snare is quite cliché. Anyway, nice rolls / variation on the snares, composition wise.

The pads and synths are okay. That backing synth at 1:15 or so is strong as is the melody at 1:30.

Your low past drum bit shortly after that sounds like it popped to early. The drums at the drop are nice and complex.

You need to glue the sections together a bit more.

Other than that dude, good job!

feandesign responds:

Thanks a lot man, much appreciated! Yeah, I should definitely find or make myself some better drum samples, especially the snare which in fact is the legacy one from FL Studio lol... I'll surely need to work harder on other projects in the future, anyway I'm glad you liked it!

Strong video game vibes with some damn juicy flows! Those melodies and the sax vibes with the supporting melody rolls / arps are beautiful. Awesome work!

endKmusic responds:

Damn. Much appreciated, man. Really glad you dig it. :)

No idea why but I clicked the Portuguese version instead xD

Nice singing man, the backing track supports well too, clean sounds overall!

Your drop / more powerful sections could pop more. The energy stays very similar throughout although the singing does get more exciting at times, the backing track stays a bit flat in terms of energy. So maybe some drum rolls, percussion, cymbals, instrument changes in the more powerful sections, could help! Your singing is great though :)

Fast pace high octane action!

Nice strings and at 33 those roll things, the arcade noises, are legit. Sets a different vibe to the piece for sure!

Keep up the good work

1:38 is my fav bit ;)

Some next experimental sounds in the intro! Setting a dystopia type tone right off the bat. Your panning and sustained bits are nice at the start. You should take it into a new section after the panning. So your drums etc. come after that pan, and have the pan end up more in center right as it drops.

Interesting sounds for sure! Cool stuff :)

Would fit better in Experimental or maybe Minimal section rather than Techno.

The breakbeat is awesome. Nice idea! 2:32 should come at a different part though. The beat change undoes your strong breakbeat bit.

Hope this helps.

OPFX responds:

Very constructive review. Much appreciated man. You're helping me improve!

Has a nice ambience to it, should definitely look into doing more with the pad. Perhaps layering it with a lower pad, drop out your mid pad and let the low pad carry the track. Brings drums and bass with the low pad to carry it into a new section.

Melodies are cool and your drums are okay. You should try not to double up on the same melody with 2 different synths. Better to either vary the melody or try something else.

I see the inspiration to that Halo CE style there for sure! :)

The pad is quite hypnotic. Lots you could do with it.

One thing is structure dude. Where's the piece going.

Vocals are lovely at the end!

Has a very runner feel, with cyberpunk elements. Awesome.

The pads are great, the beat and flow of the piece is solid. The lead melodies are nice too dude.

The track has a good flow to it, good stuff dude.

Stroberider responds:

I can see what you mean, Aydin. Thanks for the review and score, man!

Different sounds! Interesting piece dude. Sounds like the ocean, and whales, don't know what it is about the piece that gives that vibe but it definitely takes you to another landscape.

Very cool dude, any chance of a longer version?

Things I liked:
- The pads and your sort of repeating noise, e.g. 1:38, that melody, it really sets the tone of the piece
- Your hi hats sit really well in the mix, as does your snare
- The pacing, it really slows the listener down and brings them to another zen like vibe

Awesome work man.

Any longer version in the works or similar stuff?

LucidDebate responds:

thanks for the great feedback! I could toy around and see if I can make a longer version. but I am definitely hoping to produce some similar sounding tracks soon! glad you enjoyed it :)
