Bomfunk freestyler vibes!

Really nailed the drums dude and I love the glitch style you got going.

Track flows quite oddly along but it works for the setting you've made.

Very fight vibes from this! Like a huge crowd going nuts on each other.

Nice!

Anymore like this? Will gladly review!

BiPolarBeat responds:

Well I'm working on a demo EP for eatbrain but nothing quite like this

Yeah dude, nice and soft dnb! Has less of a runner vibe than usual dnb, much more chilled!

Welcome to NG!

Any plans to extend it?

The drop at 46 is the highlight for me.

Definitely too short!!

memeyboiii98 responds:

thanks man, i'll try to finish any tracks i'm going to do in the future!

Quite a groovy piece, the start was, then you dipped into darker territory. The 24 second melody reminds me of some coppers with big hats chasing some dude through dark alleyways in a dystopian London setting.

Actually fits the description really well.

Is there any animation to go with it?

Track itself is cool. Would be a cool little backing track to a proper 3D animation, for a chase scene.

HowDoEyeLogOut responds:

This has nothing to do with enjoying music basically.

Cool loop. You could definitely fill the drums out more and take it into a full track.

Catchy and quite clear too.

The bass comes through strong even on headphones!

Any longer songs that are similar?

Aracnofobia responds:

check out my channel

O_oooooooo

Your description doesnt match the tune dude. The track is actually an interesting concept. Has that 28 Days Later vibe going on. Zombie business.

The guitar is too overpowering though and the mix is not clean.

Tweak that and it's decent as heck dude. 4.5/5 but like 2.5/5 for the mix.

Such is the result anyway of an evenings boredom.

Great concept :)

Hope I werent too harsh!

DFerociousbeast responds:

Not at all dude, constructive criticism is always more welcomed than "I liked it" or "nice job".

And I completely agree, I think it was both the bass heavy distortion tones that made it mud up like that.

Anyways thanks bro for the feedback, always much appreciated

You look good in the profile pic dude.

Onto the track itself:

Not sure what the original sounded like or is this an original? Owl City is a band right?

Quite a lowkey piece with heavy spacing elements and a rugged drumbeat.

The reverb is overwhelming especially at 2 mins but I guess thats the effect youre going for

Has a heavy experimental vibe.

That Piano at the end at 2:18 has a powerful melody you could extend the track with majorly.

Hope this helps dude and lemme know if you need another revew.

OwlPeople responds:

Owl People was literally something I came up with last night. I've been making music for about 5 years without any name.

Thanks tho xoxo

Edit: Only thing sampled in this piece were the vinyl scratches and vocals.

The vocals are by Erykah Badu

Keep at it dude.

Guessing you're new to this?

Thing to do next time round:
- use a few more notes in your melody
- layer your melody with a few other instruments
- add a bass synth and copy the notes to that too

Try to aim for 3 or more instruments if you want to hip hop.

Even a piano piece will usually have a:
Drumkit
Piano
Bass or Bass Synth

Hope this helps

papermarioalex responds:

Thanks for the tips! :D

Quite a disonant piece! You've got those bits going for you but man the mix and volume of the track is distorting / difficult to listen to.

Although it does aid the style of the piece, you gotta dial it back some.

Hope this review helps and just shout me if you want another one.

EvilSquireAlt responds:

It serves a specific purpose. From my angle I nailed it, or atleast, it ran smoothly for me.

Distorting a bit on my headphones dude :(

Track itself is quite funky, you could extend it and just tweak some of the peaks and bingo!

Any plans to release it?

Would fit perfectly in a flash game with 8bit elements!

Czyszy responds:

Thanks for the review. I have no plans to release this. You can use this track if you want.

Quite a fun song dude!

My criticism would be to bring the volume throw a bit more. It feels like it's sitting too far behind your snare at parts, other parts your snare is in the background where it should sit more prominent as it's a drop.

Cool song though dude, quite fun and happy!

If you want more reviews just send a pm!

Great composition.

DipperMcFlipper responds:

Thanks. this is quite old though so i have (in my opinion) improved alot but thanks anyways!

Back in the flow of things!
