Orchestral.... should be good!

Loading............ this damn work internet xD

Your piece is too epic to pull up from the wifi.

Ok here goes, that piano is gorgeous. Like raindrops. And that 1:18 thing, malimba or whatever, is amazing. What is it?

Nice use of fanfare too and your transitions are really very smooth.

Yeah dude this is a picture perfect orchestral piece.

One thing you could work on is the spacing. For example at 2:17, it sounds epic but distant, like your strings at 2:25, they should feel in closer proximity.

Cut some of the low end off your reverb too dude. That'll clean the mix up real nice especially on those drummy bits.

Epic track G.

Lemme know if you have anymore!

3:28 reminds me of Hans Ximmerman in that space film :D

You look good in the profile pic dude.

Onto the track itself:

Not sure what the original sounded like or is this an original? Owl City is a band right?

Quite a lowkey piece with heavy spacing elements and a rugged drumbeat.

The reverb is overwhelming especially at 2 mins but I guess thats the effect youre going for

Has a heavy experimental vibe.

That Piano at the end at 2:18 has a powerful melody you could extend the track with majorly.

Hope this helps dude and lemme know if you need another revew.

OwlPeople responds:

Owl People was literally something I came up with last night. I've been making music for about 5 years without any name.

Thanks tho xoxo

Edit: Only thing sampled in this piece were the vinyl scratches and vocals.

The vocals are by Erykah Badu

Keep at it dude.

Guessing you're new to this?

Thing to do next time round:
- use a few more notes in your melody
- layer your melody with a few other instruments
- add a bass synth and copy the notes to that too

Try to aim for 3 or more instruments if you want to hip hop.

Even a piano piece will usually have a:
Drumkit
Piano
Bass or Bass Synth

Hope this helps

papermarioalex responds:

Thanks for the tips! :D

Quite a disonant piece! You've got those bits going for you but man the mix and volume of the track is distorting / difficult to listen to.

Although it does aid the style of the piece, you gotta dial it back some.

Hope this review helps and just shout me if you want another one.

EvilSquireAlt responds:

It serves a specific purpose. From my angle I nailed it, or atleast, it ran smoothly for me.

Distorting a bit on my headphones dude :(

Track itself is quite funky, you could extend it and just tweak some of the peaks and bingo!

Any plans to release it?

Would fit perfectly in a flash game with 8bit elements!

Czyszy responds:

Thanks for the review. I have no plans to release this. You can use this track if you want.

Quite a fun song dude!

My criticism would be to bring the volume throw a bit more. It feels like it's sitting too far behind your snare at parts, other parts your snare is in the background where it should sit more prominent as it's a drop.

Cool song though dude, quite fun and happy!

If you want more reviews just send a pm!

Great composition.

DipperMcFlipper responds:

Thanks. this is quite old though so i have (in my opinion) improved alot but thanks anyways!

Nice drop dude, especially the second bit at 0:50. Damn do i hate string bits in drops though :/

Track is very cool on the whole dude. Especially the section just before your breakdown.

Who is this guy you're remixing btw?

His voice is blehhhhh but I guess it's dedicated to him.

Future bass bit is cool :)

MrKoolTrix responds:

Thanks for the feedback. :)

The guy's Verplex, a musician. You can check out his stuff in this track's description. ^_^

Holy crap dude! Very nice!!!

Sounds like Oceanlabs sirens of the sea, especially the singing and the way the track flows.

Very nice dude!

What equipment did you use for mixing?

Sounds so clean and full!

D-Chain responds:

haha much appreciated. and you are right about coming close to Oceanlabs Sirens of the Sea.
i dont really use equipment.. just fruity loops, bunch of vst's and ofcourse that acapella. Oh and a decent enough pc that can handle most plugins (times 3) available for fruity loops and beyond.
Have a gut one Aydin!

Nice work dude. Right off the bat though you need to get your hands on some non-midi strings. They have that midi feel to them but you have used them well so good job.

1:28 is very cool. Not quite sure if its a villain piece or a hero one, maybe not the hero we deserve but the one we need ;)

Nice synth and good structure to the piece. Really liking those background murky feels.

Good job dude, just get some better instruments maybe Kontakt.

Very well done!

Best trap / future bass song I've heard so far on this site!

Criticism would be some bits get repetitive like your toms, and in your drop too it needs slight more variety.

Awesome though dude.

Upload more!!!!

Back in the flow of things!
