Monoglian throat singing style intro followed by some wicked and evil sounding melodies... My cuppa tea!

The drop is nasty too!

My only gripe is you need to find a way to connect the drop with the build up. It feels like it's dropping into a separate track which is cool if it's your intention.

I like the way you bring the vocals back in later on in the track.

All in all good job!

Keep it up :)

AxELdub responds:

Yeah im still working on blending it, because i can hear what you hear. and oh trust me, im trying! haha

ill eventually fix it on a full track post. thanks btw!

Yes! YES! YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ForeverBound responds:

That was the quickest review ever done omg. But I'm glad u seem to like it already :)

Great work guys! The build ups, the melodies, the choice of percussion, everything about this track was very nice. Keep up the good work :)

ForeverBound responds:

Thanks man we love it too! :D

OO yeah! Really nice dude :) Definitely getting the summer vibe going early. The intro is nice and catchy and transitions really well into the next section which makes you feel like you're flying across the ocean with the sun in the background. Very nice piece indeed. Keep up the good work!

ForeverBound responds:

Thanks man :D

Beast. Really digging this track, very nicely done mate. Keep up the good work! Collab sometime? ;)

garlagan responds:

thanks mate! yes, collab would be wicked. i'll hit you up when i'm not busy

WTFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF!!!! Did not expect that drop! Nicely done.

You should add some reverb to the voice in parts like 1:35 where is leads into the next section. Would be nice to have the voice link into it and make it sound all ambienty before the rape section kicks in again.

Good stuff, looking forward to what you come up with next!

Peace.

bitethezombie responds:

thanks a lot !!!!

Definitely has the feel of the genre! Pretty much spot on with that. The melodies are nice, quite funky and the feel or the track is good aswell. You could always throw in a reverse cymbal in there, not sure if it'll fit the genre + you could hench up the beat by adding more to it with new hi hats etc. and having it play a bit louder however it might compromise the retro feel of the track. Another idea is to have the bass come through a tad more after the drop, would be nice to feel the lower frequencies filled in more =)

DiroNomer responds:

Thanks for the awesome review. I really plan on making a longer version.

Funky and smooth at the same time. I like it :)

The melodies are nice, the drum pattern is cool and the choice of synth is good as they all work well together.

Perhaps next time you should have the vocals a bit louder so we can understand what is being said.

Other than that good job :)

The-iMortal responds:

Cheers. Though, the vocals are just chopped up samples. Nothing is really being said ;)

Funky stuff, I like it! A nice use of sound effects, the build up around 1:40 was nice and the way you dropped out the drums etc. just before the drop was very nicely done. The melody / bassline is actually quite addictive aswell. Simple but effective :)

Areas for improvement:
- If you're on fruity, load up Toxic Biohazard, change the sine wave into noise wave 4. Where you see the 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 in the middle of the program, turn the first zero up to 100. Careful to not play while you do this as it's going to sound UGLY. It should be like a windy screech sound. Now send this through to a mixer track and put a low pass filter on it. Fruity filter will do the trick. Set it to low pass and set the frequency to a lowish figure. Next, add a gross beat and click the side chain in the volume section. Right click on all 4 of the volume lines to make them straight rather than curved so as to achieve a clearer sound. Next, draw on a note on your piano roll on Toxic Biohazard which is 4 or 8 bars long. Put this onto your playlist and then go back to your Mixer fx and open the Filter again. Right click on the Freq and click Create Automation Clip. Now go back to your playlist and where it says Track 1, Track 2 there should be an Automation Clip created which looks like a long, straight line. On this line, right click to draw on the dots. Draw a dot on where your Toxic Biohazard instrument is introduced on the playlist and put the dot quite low down. Then, 4 or 8 bars later draw on another dot much higher up. Now play the song and listen to the effect you've just created :) Add a reverb aswell, before or after the filter and gross beat and notice the sound difference.
- Adding some Reverb to your snares could give them that extra punchiness. Careful as Reverb can occupy a lot of space and make the track messy but when used well can enhance the awesomeness!
- You could add more snares and hi hats and pan them left and right. Only pan slightly but notice the difference on the prescence of the piece. Also, make sure you have a parameteric EQ 2 on every instruments / fx and if its a hi hat or snare then drop the lower frequencies to free up space for your bass and vice verse for the bass / kick. I usually only drop a slight bit of mid for kicks as the high end keeps it puncy. The mixdown of this track was pretty good so I'm not sure if you need to do this but its wroth baring in mind :) I always drop the very lowest frequency down for my kick and have that space occupied by the bass which gives it more breathing space and cleaner sound output.

Keep up the good work :)

dude-im-alive responds:

Woah thanks man! really appreciate all the help, sadly newgrounds doesn't message when you get comments on your tracks so this went unseen for ages. Cheers though, this will be a real help and I'm glad you liked the track :) good to see another FL user out there too. I've lost the files annoyingly for the original FL version of this track, so no improvements can be made. But I will take into account all you've said and I gotta tell ya something big and Drum and Bassy is in the works so I will put into practice what you've told me there! Thanks!

Ye man, you've captured the feel of instruments nicely. Only thing I'd say specific about the composition itself is to give the Saz more melodies and have it do more. Saz is where it's at when it comes to Turkish music. Not sure if you used a synth for that or recorded / sampled a real one? Either way, nice job :)

SoulSecure responds:

I play saz for real. I own a long neck (baglama) and a short neck (chogur). This song was played on chogur saz.

Back in the flow of things!
